We offer learner driver training for manual and automatic cars. These lessons are suitable for very beginners through to those who want to brush up on their skills with professional guidance.

Our instructors are very experienced and work to distill the latest safe diving techniques in all learners. Our aim is to provide lessons which are as stress-free as possible. We know driving can be scary for some, and we tailor each lesson to meet your individual learning style and goals.

You will need to change or cancel your booking by giving at least 3 business days notice.  This doesn't not include weekends.  

Text messages will not be responded to outside of business hours.   

You will not be guaranteed the use of our vehicle during a test if you book in for a testing spot directly with TMR, you can pre purchase tests with TMR and we can use your receipt to book a time that matches our vehicle availability. 

You will also not be guaranteed the use of our vehicle for a test if you have not yet been recommended as being test ready by one of our driver trainers.

We ensure our drivers are prepared for driving in all road conditions in the future, and leave us feeling confident behind the wheel.

We offer a 1 Hour Warm-up Lesson + Car Hire pack for your driving test.

It is recommended a driver takes at least 2 professional driving lesson before sitting their driving test.

Our driver trainers have recommended that students attend a set number of lessons based on the vehicle class.  If you do not wish the student to attend these lessons or would like to book and invoice as you go, please indicate below how many lessons you approve for payment. Please also note that:

     These lessons do not include the Warm Up and Test Lesson on Testing day.

     These lessons are scheduled in based on TMR Test Availability.

     We make the best effort to book lessons in once a week leading up to the testing day and then 3 daily lessons prior to the testing day.

It is recommended that the students attend 3-5 lessons to be able to sit the test in our vehicle with our trainers.  TMR will log 10 driver trainer hour as 30 logged driving hours for students wanting to just log hours.

P1 provisional licence

There are 2 types of provisional licences—P1 and P2.  The P1 licence is your first provisional licence, before you move onto P2.

Applying for a P1 licence

If you are under 25 years of age, you will need to book and pass your practical driving test to get your P1 licence. You cannot take the practical driving test until you are at least 17 years of age and have met the logbook requirements.

If you are 25 years of age or older, you will need to book and pass your practical driving test to get your P2 licence. You do not need to meet logbook requirements or apply for a P1 licence.

If you were 25 or older when you passed the practical driving test, you can get a P2 licence once you have held your learner licence for at least 1 year.

Car hazard perception test

All learner drivers must pass the hazard perception test before upgrading their licence.

From 1 July 2021 all learner licence holders must pass the hazard perception test before taking their practical driving test.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellations made within 3 business days before the lesson is non refundable
Cancellations made outside of 3 business days will refund a credit towards your account balance.
